How we use BodyTite Radio Frequency Skin Tightening for Gynecomastia

Dr Nurein uses BodyTite Radio Frequency (RF) skin tightening to help our gynecomastia patients achieve optimal results. This is done on an individual basis, depending on the type of gynecomastia and what treatment is best suited for the patient's needs.

Dr Nurein grades his patients according to how big the gland is and how much skin laxity there is, which also determines the type of treatment we use to achieve optimal results.

• Type 1 gynecomastia - small gland
• Type 2 gynecomastia - moderately enlarged gland
• Type 3 gynecomastia - with some loose skin
• Type 4 gynecomastia - with severe loose skin (nipple over the breast crease)

For type 2 and 3, skin tightening treatment may help if the skin quality is good. Skin excision may be needed for loose skin, especially for type 4, which may also require nipple repositioning.

BodyTite is an advanced body contouring and skin tightening procedure that may allow patients to avoid more extensive surgery, such as skin excision. BodyTite uses Radio Frequency Assisted Liposuction (RFAL) technology, which shortens and tightens tissue while minimising side effects related to lax skin.

Dr Nurein uses the BodyTite RF machine from INMODE. He likes using it because of the added safety feature of the heat sensor, which reduces the risk of burning the skin.

We use local anaesthesia (tumescent solution) for all our gynecomastia surgery procedures. For this reason, skin tightening is not painful, just like VASER liposuction.
